Mr. Hubbard’s methods were also acknowledged in popular books on the subject of environmental pollution. In 1991, the author of Diet for a Poisoned Planet was found to be advocating what he called the Hubbard Method as the only solution to ridding the body of dangerous chemicals and environmental toxins.

If there were still any doubt as to how much this discovery permeated society, one need only witness how the Purification program helped Vietnam veterans recover from the effects of exposure to Agent Orange or how it provided a solution to those who had been exposed to deadly levels of radiation following the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. Even more recently, the Purification program had been successful in relieving symptoms of Gulf War Syndrome in veterans exposed to powerful chemical and biological agents during that conflict.

In 1995, discussions at the first International Conference on Human Detoxification unveiled the Purification program as the only effective method of handling drug detox, chemical poisoning and radiation contamination. A second summit two years later found authorities from fifteen nations gathered to discuss how Mr. Hubbard’s Purification program could be implemented broadly as the solution to the problem of human detoxification.
